That’s great! What did you guys play? I want to hear more!! haha :)

I sung “Long Way Home” by New Empire. :) One of my friends videoed it, but I wasn’t too happy about my performance because nerves got the better of me haha.

Ignite the Town was fantastic.

There were a lot more people than I thought there would be. Nerves definitely got the better of me.

But I was watching my friend’s dance troupe, and I started thinking.

When you’re watching a dance troupe, where do you look? Do you look at their legs? Their arms? Look them straight in the eye to see the passion in their soul? Do you focus on the person you know to show your support for them?

I also confirmed my theory that when I’m listening to/watching live music, I don’t get hungry. I normally have dinner at 6:30 and I’m very hungry by then- but tonight, it was 9 o’clock when I turned around from the music and dancing, and the hunger struck. Crazy.

If any of the TAFE students who organised it is reading this, thank you for organising it! It was great.

This does of course imply that you have most likely by choice listened to ‘Lovebug’ by the Jonas Brothers, as well.

This is true. I listened to it 3 years ago. Listened to Mayer’s new album, and bam- familiar melody.

I then proceeded to listen to ‘Lovebug’ to make sure I was wrong, but alas…

The main melody of the verse of Mayer’s “Submarine Test, January 1967” bears an exceedingly close resemblance to the chorus of the Jonas Brothers’ “Lovebug”. I want to cry.

“ Pleasant words are a honeycomb, sweet to the soul and healing to the bones. ”

Proverbs 16:24

One of my favourite verses, I feel called, when having conversations with people, to this verse. It’s a reminder of the power or praise, of encouragement, of compliments and of kindness.

“ Let me ask you something. If someone prays for patience, you think God gives them patience? Or does he give them the opportunity to be patient? If he prayed for courage, does God give him courage, or does he give him opportunities to be courageous? If someone prayed for the family to be closer, do you think God zaps them with warm fuzzy feelings, or does he give them opportunities to love each other? ”
